Writing songs and singing them throughout her childhood was deeply encouraged by her dad and their catalog of songs reflect her growth. Katelyn always knew she wanted to work in the music industry. After graduating from college with honors in Business, she went to work as a creative coordinator for a prestigious music publisher to “learn the ropes” of the industry. While the experience and contacts made were invaluable, she couldn’t deny her true heart’s desire. The path clearly laid before her over so many years with her father, that of a music creator. At age 10, tk got his first guitar and wrote his first song, performed in bands in his teens, and has continued being a front man and a solo artist performing his original songs throughout his life. tk trained as a studio engineer and has worked in different studios as well as his own. He’s evolved with the technology over the years, beginning with multitrack tape recorders, ADATS, automated digital recorders and mixers, to today’s current computer Digital Audio Workstations (DAW) environment, using and integrating the multitude of current software technologies and plugins with his organic experience. As a musician, tk is versatile and plays multiple guitars, both acoustic and electric, keyboards, drums, and other instruments. He especially enjoys the process of crafting melodies and lyrics, but creating vocal arrangements is one of his favorite things to do. Stylistically Kwake Productions covers a wide range of popular genres, from intimate acoustic folk, smooth jazz to pop/rock, and current infused electronic types of music. Historically tk has worked to produce other artists, musicians, songwriters and individuals who have had music in their hearts.
